This Thanksgiving I spent the day with new friends from church. It was a small crowd - a couple from church, their sister, my boyfriend and I. We had a feast of amazing traditional Thanksgiving food and lots of laughs together. We played games, sang songs - even made some up, and watched a movie. One thing I will never forget from that day...While doing the dishes I heard a booming voice from the other room reading Plato aloud. Matt had found a book called "Harvard's Classics" on their book shelf that had writings from Plato and other philosophers. We each took a turn reading a story aloud with all the voices.
It amazes me that I can be so far from home and still have had such a delightful day. Just a couple months ago I didn't even know this couple who invited me to join them for the day, and now they are new friends. That's something to be thankful for.
